About TreadTorque Tyre Advice
TreadTorque.com.au was created to give Australian motorists access to clear, independent insights into the tyre industry, from someone who has spent more than 20 years working inside it.
The site is built on experience across tyre manufacturing, global tyre marketing and retail in Australia. That journey has provided a unique perspective on how tyres are designed, marketed, sold, used, and ultimately disposed of, and how each stage affects everyday drivers.
The goal of TreadTorque Tyre Advice is simple:
To help Australian motorists better understand tyres, cut through marketing claims, and make more informed decisions based on real-world context, not sales pressure.
The site exists to inform, educate, and encourage smarter conversations about tyres, not to sell them. As the site expands, more context will be revealed to support the content created on the website.

Our Mission
TreadTorque exists to improve the quality of tyre information available to Australian motorists and the tyre industry. We believe drivers deserve independent advice based on technical knowledge and real industry experience rather than marketing claims or sales promotions.
Every article is written to help readers understand not just what is happening, but why it matters.
Editorial Independence
TreadTorque is independently owned and operated.
Editorial decisions are made independently of tyre manufacturers, distributors and retailers. While we may report on manufacturer announcements, product launches and industry developments, our editorial opinions remain our own.
Sponsored content and commercial partnerships will always be clearly identified.
Before publication, articles are reviewed for technical accuracy, factual consistency and industry relevance. Where appropriate, original manufacturer information is supplemented with independent analysis, Australian market context and practical observations drawn from more than two decades working across tyre manufacturing and retail.
Our Editorial Process
Every article published on TreadTorque begins with a question:
“How does this help Australian motorists or the tyre industry?”
Where appropriate, we review manufacturer announcements, technical documentation, independent research and industry data before adding our own editorial analysis and Australian market context.
Rather than simply reporting the news, we aim to explain what it means, why it matters and how it may affect motorists, tyre retailers and the wider automotive industry.
Every article is reviewed before publication for technical accuracy, clarity and relevance.
The legal bit: While we work hard to ensure every article is accurate and up to date, information on TreadTorque is provided for general information only and shouldn’t be considered professional, legal or financial advice. By using this website, you agree to our Privacy Policy and that your journey and car will need the advice of a tyre retail professional before you make any purchase decision.
